Making a Real Difference in Tenerife
Working hand in hand with the Social Services of Granadilla and Arona, Amigos de Gillian Banks ensures their support is tailored to urgent and genuine needs. Their work covers a wide range of essentials:
● Supporting two day-centres caring for 74 children.
● Providing food, clothing, school uniforms, books, and shoes.
● Distributing 80 food bags at Christmas, Easter, and Summer to help families put meals on the table.
● Offering educational and creative opportunities to expand children’s horizons – from English lessons through football, dance, and singing, to specialized training like Tennis, swimming, cookery, music, planting, and animal care.
● Organizing educational trips to museums and local attractions, opening new doors of discovery.
The Green Room Project: Supporting Children with CancerOne of the charity’s most urgent initiatives is the Green Room Project, focused on supporting the approximately 250 children in Tenerife living with cancer. Funds raised will go directly towards improving facilities and providing vital psychological services.
To raise money for the Green Room Project, Amigos de Gillian Banks is hosting two major
events this autumn:
🎭 Moana the Musical – 28th October
100 talented performers from the UK are travelling at their own expense to Tenerife to put on two spectacular shows (5 pm and 8 pm) at the Infanta Leonor Theatre. All proceeds go to the charity. Tickets are available now via tomaticket.
🎶 Gala Dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel – 1st November
An unforgettable evening featuring:
●Welcome drinks and a 3-course dinner with drinks included.
●Live entertainment throughout the night.
