At Los Gigantes Properties, community has always been at the heart of what we do.
It therefore gives me great pleasure to announce that this year we are proudly sponsoring Green Padel, a highly competitive team from the south of Tenerife, as they compete in the Canary Islands First Division Championship.
This is a focused, ambitious squad with a clear objective for the season — to compete at the highest level and challenge for the title. We are delighted to support them in that journey and look forward to following their progress throughout the championship.
As many of you know, supporting the local community has long been part of our philosophy. For over 44 years, since I first began selling property here in Los Gigantes alongside Nicky and Kerrie, we have believed that being in business is about more than transactions — it is about contribution.
Over the decades we have supported the Los Gigantes Golf Society, been active within the Rotary Club, regularly contributed to local fiestas, backed numerous initiatives across Tenerife, and proudly sponsored Canary Green — an organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism and positive environmental change in the Canary Islands. These commitments are not about visibility; they are about responsibility. We believe that businesses should play an active role in strengthening the communities and environment in which they operate.
Sport is a powerful vehicle for that. It builds discipline, teamwork, resilience and community spirit. Padel continues to grow across the Canary Islands, and it is encouraging to see teams from Tenerife South competing strongly at First Division level.
By sponsoring Green Padel, we are supporting not just a team, but the wider sporting culture of the south of the island — encouraging ambition, healthy competition and local pride.
I would also take this opportunity to encourage other businesses in the Los Gigantes area and across Tenerife South to consider how they can give back. We cannot simply operate within a community and benefit from it; we must also contribute to its long-term strength and sustainability. A thriving community benefits everyone.
